Privacy Policy

Tourly is built so that we know as little about you as possible. The app has no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
What the app stores on your device
- Your preferences: chosen narration language and voice, playback speed, saved cities, travel interests from onboarding, and which cities you have unlocked. These are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Location
If you grant permission, Tourly uses your location while you are using the app, only to show your position on tour maps and to help with walking directions. Your location is processed on your device. It is never stored by us, never sent to our servers, and never shared or sold.
Purchases
City unlocks are one-time in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase receipts are managed by the store and are used only to unlock the content you bought and to restore it on a new device.
Content downloads
The app downloads tour content and photographs from content delivery services (for example Wikimedia Commons) when needed. These requests contain standard technical information (such as your IP address) that any internet request contains, and are used only to deliver the content.
Audio narration
Narration is generated on your device using your phone's built-in text-to-speech voices. No audio, and nothing you listen to, is sent to us.
What we do not do
- No accounts and no registration.
- No advertising and no ad identifiers.
- No analytics, profiling, or tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with anyone.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly: deleting the app deletes your preferences. If you have any privacy question or request, contact us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
